Bet365, a fully licensed sportsbook, recently introduced yet another feature called a Banker Bet, which I am glad to share. This shows the extent to which the operator is willing to go to ensure players enjoy sports betting.

But what is a banker bet on Bet365? Well, as I discovered, this betting system allows the modification of standard accumulator or system bets by choosing an option called ‘Banker’.

In this case, the banker has to win, or the entire bet fails. I also learned I had to meet special conditions when placing a banker bet. For example, I had to add a minimum of 3 selections on the bet slip.

Out of the three bets, two must be standard selections and one banker selection that will determine the bet’s outcome. As a result, I found it reasonable to pick an option least likely to lose as the banker so that I don’t risk my entire stake.

What I love most about the betting system is that it is possible to place a banker bet on different sports available on Bet365. For instance, a banker bet is applicable when betting on soccer, horse racing, and golf matches.

Furthermore, placing a banker bet on baseball, darts, and other sports events is practical. Essentially, the banker bet applies to multiple sports, provided I follow the abovementioned conditions.

How to Place a Banker Bet

Now that I have addressed a banker bet, it is time to look at how to place one on Bet365, an eCOGRA-certified sportsbook. To perfectly place the bet, I launched the bet365 sportsbook on my computer and signed into my account.

Don’t have an account yet? First, sign up for one to be eligible for bets. The next step I took was to fund my Bet365 betting account with some cash so that I could make predictions. After that, I proceeded by:

#1 Choosing The desired sport

As I stated above, choosing the ideal sports for betting is mandatory. For instance, I opted for football. I could also place snooker and volleyball bets, but I wanted a sport that I understood bets. In short, I was not limited in the kind of sports I could gamble on.

#2 Adding The Required Selections on The Bet Slip

After choosing the desired sport, I added the selections on the bet slip. First, I had to analyze the markets, compare the odds, research and add the options based on my findings.

#3 Changing the Bet Type from Standard to Banker

As soon as the selections reflected on the bet slip, I changed the bet type to ‘Banker’. This is using the tab at the top of the bet slip. Before I proceed, note that it is impossible to place a banker bet without making this adjustment.

#4 Selecting the Banker

After opting for the banker, a box labelled ‘B’ appeared on my selections. I went through my options and chose the most likely bet as the banker by clicking the ‘B’ button. Remember, I had to be sure of the banker because if it fails, so makes my entire bet.

#5 Providing the Stake

I, later on, proceeded to enter the stake. Remember that, unlike accumulator and system bets, I had to provide a wager for each selection to place the banker bet. This is even though the overall stake was multiplied by the number of selections.

#6 Submitting the Bet Slip

After I finished staking, I confirmed the selections before submitting the bet slip. This made it easier to change any mistakes before submitting the bet slip. After all, it is impossible to make modifications once the bet slip is online.

FAQ

Can I have more than one banker?

Yes, having more than a single banker on a bet slip is possible. However, the more the number of bankers, the riskier the bet becomes.

What happens if other selections win, but the banker loses?

The main disadvantage is that the banker loses, so make the other selections. Therefore, the bet is lost if all the selections win, but the banker bet.

Can I make changes on my banker once the bet is live?

No, it is impossible to make changes on the banker once the bet is live. As a result, go through the selections and confirm every aspect before submitting the bet slip.

Where will I find the banker option?

The banker option is available on the bet slip, accessible after making the selections.
