Serie A action is spread across the weekend from Friday until Monday this weekend, and on Sunday, we have four games taking place. The first one to kick off features Napoli at home, and they welcome Frosinone for the game, a team who head into the weekend in the relegation zone, and without a win for some time now, which is not helping their survival chances.
Napoli Form GuideNapoli have had quite the season, throughout they've had problems and never really got going. At their best, I think they're a decent side, even if they aren't as good as last season. But inconsistency means that we haven't seen their best too often, they have seven games to go this season, and the aim will be to climb up one place and secure a top six spot.
They come here on the back of a win last weekend, and overall in their last five games, have two wins, two draws and one defeat. Last weekend, they won 4-2 away from home against Monza, before that, they suffered a big defeat, losing 3-0 at home to Atalanta. The other win in this period was at home to Juventus, while two draws have come against Inter Milan and Torino.
Frosinone Form GuideI've been saying for a few weeks now that Frosinone are in trouble, and as they've been slipping down the Serie A table, they've not shown us anything that makes me think they can turn things around and stay in the top flight. With seven games to go, they have 26 points, so are only one from safety, and have five teams above them within four points, so there's plenty to aim for.
But the biggest issues is wins, they haven't won for 10 games and while they've taken four points from draws in that period, it's nowhere near good enough and they need more. Last weekend, they drew 0-0 at home to Bologna, a good point given their place in the league, but it's a win that will help Frosinone escape, and I'm not sure they're capable right now.
Match PredictionWhile we may not be seeing the best of Napoli this season, I still fancy them to win this game. They should come out on top with ease against a Frosinone side who are just not cutting it, and are in great danger of relegation back to Serie B.
